Happy New Year!
Well, the last few weeks have been packed full. I will try and recap a little of what has been going on. I left off at Christmas with Nanny and Poppa. So, the next morning we had Christmas at our house.

Santa brought Mylie a pink wooden play kitchen. It is too cute! She cooks every morning and most afternoons. I am so excited that she loves this new toy. Christmas afternoon, we went to my GrannyMa's house and had a wonderful lunch followed by presents and visiting. Then we went to Neno's house (Justin's mom). There we had more food and ofcourse more presents. Mylie had so much fun opening gifts, she even helped Claire out a bit.
Here they are fast at work.
The next day, Neno came down and when Justin got home from work, we went shopping. We went to Opry Mills to the Bass Pro Shop of course and stopped at a few other stores as well. Then we went to eat at the Cock of the Walk. I just love their food. The atmosphere is very fun as well.
Saturday was a lazy day at home so that Mylie could have a chance to play with all of her new toys. Then on Sunday, we went to Chattanooga to visit Pap and Emmy for a few days. Salem, Paula's oldest son, went down with us. Kirby, Reagan, and Connor came down the same night too. On Monday, we went to eat at P F Chang's and then went to the mall to spend the money that was burning a hole in everyone's pocket from Christmas. After going back to Dad's house and letting the little one's nap, Mike, Alison, Arden, and Channing came down to spend the next few nights. We had 12 people in a three bedroom house! It was packed full. We had the best time. On Tuesday, Dad, Salem, Arden, Mylie and I went to the Aquarium. Kirby, Reagan, and Connor had to go back to McMinnville that morning. I was not sure how much Mylie would really like the fish and everything but she loved it. Here are a few pics that I took while we were there.

Salem is feeding the sting ray. He would only do this after I did it. I think he might have been a little frightened. I would have been too if I had not done this before.

Mylie is trying to catch the little aligator!

Free Ride, thanks Pap!

This pic did not turn out the way I thought it would. They had crawled up into one of the tanks that had a cut out in it so you could see from the inside out. Mylie thought it was amazing that she could see me through the water like that.
So, that concludes our 2008. We are ready for a wonderful new year. 2009, here we come!

It's a Girl!
Today was the ultrasound appointment. It's weird. Even though this has all happened before and I knew that I was pregnant and could feel the baby move some, it all comes together when you see it through ultrasound. We have a health baby girl. She was measuring three days ahead of what we thought, but that is not enough to move the due date. We will have one more ultrasound next month because the baby was not being cooperative. The tech did not get a good picture of her lower spine and a profile picture. The doctor did not seemed concerned, so neither are we.
Growing up, I had always said that I would like to have two boys. Now we are going to be blessed with two girls. I could not be happier. We are so excited and trying to decide on names. Any suggestions? I don't plan on putting up a list or even really telling anyone of the names we are thinking about. We will, however, tell everyone the name when we decide. I don't want someones opinion to persuade our choice. But, I promise that when we decide we will tell. It will be before the baby gets here if we can make a choice.

M-I-C-K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E
Mylie has found an obsession. She loves everything Mickey Mouse. We went to the mall at Cool Springs to the Disney Store a few weeks ago when this obsession started and she had a cow! She could hardly stand it. "Me Mo" was everywhere. It was almost to much excitement for her. Mimi bought her three small dolls, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck. She has carried them around everywhere she goes. She has to line them up when she is watching Mickey Mouse Club House in the morning. It is too funny. She calls Goofy, "Dig Dog." I think this is because he is really funny when they sing the hot dog song.
Earlier this week, Aunt Lulu came up to the house and brought a bag full of goodies. She had gone to the Disney Store at Opry Mills. She brought a Mylie sized Mickey dressed like Santa, and a Mickey and Minnie doll that are about a foot and a half tall. Mylie even like the bag that the Mickeys came in!

Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree
I love putting up the Christmas tree, I don't like how long it takes me to put it up. It seems like each year it takes longer and longer, but the end result is so worth it. Mylie likes to have the lights on all day if we are home. Its one of the first things she ask for in the morning. I enjoy siting in the living room at night with all the other lights off, drinking a cup of hot chocolate, or spiced tea, at just looking at it. It makes me very happy.
We have a Boyd's Bear Christmas tree. However, I am not sure this is what I want for next year. I am thinking of doing two trees. (where will I find the room?) This is my question. What colors do you have on your tree? Is your tree themed? I have seen so many pretty ones at the stores this year, I may have to hit up the after Christmas sales to get some new decorations.
